Chinese
Dynasty
The Qing (CHING) dynasty ruled for
over 200 years. This dynasty is also called
Empress the Manchu (MAN-choo) dynasty. They were
Tzu Shi in power from 1644 to 1911. This was the last
dynasty to rule China. The first and only empress
ruled China during the Qing dynasty. Her name was Tzu Shi
(TSOO SHEE).
During this era, China expanded its territory. It included Manchuria
(man-CHUR-ee-uh), Mongolia (mawn-GO-lyuh), Tibet (tuh-BET), and
Taiwan (TIE-wawn). By this time, Europeans were trading with China.
