From that time, in the winter snow, in the sharp winds of spring,
            A Tale of Two Cities
         in the hot sunshine of summer and in the autumn rain, Lucie went
         every day to the dark and dirty corner of a narrow street. She waited
         there from two until four, sometimes taking her daughter with her.
         Her father had told her that it was too dangerous for her to look at
         the prison window, so she never saw her husband, but she knew
         that he was sometimes able to see her.
