         possible reasons for doing what he had done. Perhaps he would
         even be able to help guide this revolution which was running so
         frighteningly wild all over France. However, he knew that he must
         not tell Lucie or her father about his journey before he left. Lucie
         would be too upset by the thought of separation, and her father
