A Tale of Two Cities
On the morning of Lucie and Charles’s wedding day, Charles
went into the doctor’s office to speak to him, while Mr Lorry waited
with Lucie. Mr Lorry said, ‘Now, Lucie, you are leaving your good
father in hands as loving as your own. I will take great care of him
while you are away for the next two weeks in Warwickshire, and
when he comes to join you and your husband in Wales for the
second part of your holiday, I can promise you that he will be in the
best health.’
